Most of you will remember Bob Kerrigan as a starring actor in our drama productions at school. If you didn't already know, I wanted to share that Bob has been battling cancer and made it through a very difficult 12 hour operation last night. The surgery was more extensive than they originally thought it was going to be, they removed a tumor, a kidney, part of his colon, etc. Needless to say, its been a very, very rough time for him and his family. He will remain in ICU for about a week, and will probably have a lengthy hospital stay afterwards. I saw him this past Tuesday, and he said he'd like to get together with bunch of high school friends when he is back to feeling better. I'll get something together as soon as I get the green light from him.

In the mean time, if you'd like to send a card to cheer him up, please feel free to send it to me, and I would be happy to deliver it to the hospital. He is in the VA Hospital in La Jolla right now, but I don't know what room he'll be in after he gets out of ICU.
